Electrical Building Systems, Inc. (“EBS”) offers a wide range of electrical engineering design and consulting services. We have recently provided electrical design consulting services to the Los Angeles County Metro Transportation Authority (LACMTA).
We design and prepare electrical drawings for new installations and remodeling of existing facilities. We provide site surveys to evaluate existing electrical distribution systems, calculations, photometric analysis, complete solar energy generation systems for residential and commercial applications, tenant improvement work, complete power and lighting system designs including fixture and control selection, circuiting and switching, preparation of specifications, design services during construction such as shop drawing review, responding to RFI’s and final punch list reports.
We successfully achieve our clients’ project goals through effective planning, communication and coordination with other disciplines, ultimately easing the permitting process.
At EBS, we ensure understanding of your objectives before we begin. Our team members utilize the latest Building Information Modeling (BIM), Revit and AutoCAD software to custom design each project followed by a thorough, in-house quality assurance review to ensure accuracy and precision as well as compliance with local, state and national electric codes, including California Energy Code Title 24 and CalGreen standards, if required.
At EBS, it is our job to ensure your project is code compliant. We follow the National Electric Code, the California Electric Code and the California Energy Code known as The Energy Efficiency Standards for Residential and Non-Residential Buildings also known as Title 24. Our engineering consultants ensure accurate calculations are performed and adhere to applicable Title 24 compliance standards to complete certification requirements.
EBS consultants are well acquainted with design regulations of the utility companies in Southern California and Building & Safety authorities having jurisdiction. We provide consulting services with these entities, if applicable, to assist with obtaining Plan Check and inspection approval.
EBS Engineers are knowledgeable and adhere to LACMTA MRDC (Metro Rail Design Criteria) and stay on top of the latest Los Angeles County Metro Design criteria. Throughout the year, EBS engineers participate in monthly, continuing professional development conferences in an effort to remain current concerning rapidly advancing technology, regulations and solutions for sustainability.
EBS Engineers have thorough knowledge of local construction requirements concerning the design of large and small-scale, low-voltage Electrical Building Systems.
We assess existing electrical conditions and offer recommendations concerning an affordable design which complies with local Building Department and Utility Company authorities having jurisdiction.
We work closely and coordinate with Civil, Structural and Mechanical Engineers as well as Architects and Electrical Contractors to facilitate any construction project.
